Before there
was a garage,
there was a carriage house. The building
that housed the family conveyance for the well to do. The finest homes
had carriage houses carefully designed and crafted to match the main
house, executed with exquisite attention to detail, including the
carriage house doors, which were the most prominent feature of the
building facade. The carriage house derived its character from the
design of it's doors. And so carriage house doors became an art form.
Today,
carriage house doors are a mark of distinction for the 21st
century home. While the Classica Collection is designed to look like an
old-fashioned carriage house door that swings out, slides or folds
open, they are actually upward acting sectional doors.
Amarr
has become the first garage door manufacturer to render the
carriage house door in pinch-resistant, maintenance-free,
precision-shaped steel, bringing today's home a refined stylistic
expression at an affordable price.
