Operator works from wall station but not transmitter(s)
  1. Check vacation switch.
    • The vacation switch is upper right-hand button located on the wall station.
    • For normal operation this switch should be in the up (unlocked) position.
  2. Check or replace the battery in your remote(s).
  3. Check operator for number of flashes from courtesy light.
    • The courtesy light located on the front of the operator will flash a specific number of times. Note the number of flashes. Check diagnostics.
  4. Learn remote to operator.
Operator works from transmitter but not wall station

Door goes down a few inches stops and reverses

Check operator for number of flashes from courtesy light.

Door goes up without activating transmitter or wall station

Erase operator's memory and learn all transmitters and wireless keypads back to operator.

Transmitter will not learn into operator
  • Check or replace battery in remote.
  • Check power to be sure you have power to the operator


Door will not open all the way out of the opening
Operator will not go into vacation mode

Notes:
    • Vacation mode only affects the transmitter. Door will still operate from the wall station.
    • Operator must be completely down before the unit will go into  vacation mode.
    • Vacation mode will not work if an external receiver is is installed.

Unit will not operate from wall station or transmitter
  1. Four flashes - let operator cool down.
  2. Check house AC power (breaker box)
  3. Check to be sure quick release is attached securely to trolley.

Unit will not stop on up or down limit
  1. Unplug unit. Door may be operated manually by pulling down on the red quick release string.
  2. Call for service.

Light bulbs burning out

Replace bulb with "rough service" bulb.



Short range from transmitter
  1. Replace batteries on transmitter.
  2. If you have two or more operator make sure that the antennas are pointed away from each other.
    • The antenna is the white wire extruding from the back of the operator.

Where can I get a replacement or extra remote?

You can pick one up at our Service Center or call us and we can mail one to you. Currently the price for a remote is $35. There is a small fee to mail a remote to you.

How do I program my car's built-in remote to work my garage door?

Consult your automobile owner's manual or contact your dealer.




To learn remote to operator:
  1. Locate learn button on operator.
    • See image below. The learn button is the small black button located just below the small red light.
  2. Press and release Learn button.
  3. Press and release the button on the remote.
    • If you have more than one door, press the button on the remote that you want to operate the door in question.
  4. The courtesy light will flash 1 time indicating that it has learned that remote.

To learn keypad to operator:
  1. Locate learn button on operator.
    • See image below. The learn button is the small black button located just below the small red light.
  2. Press and release Learn button.
  3. Type a 1 to 6 digit code into the keypad and press Start/Stop
    • You only have 15 seconds to program the keypad from the time you press the learn button.
  4. The courtesy light will flash 1 time indicating that it has learned the keypad.

To increase Close Force:
  1. Locate Close Force Screw on operator (see image)
  2. Using a screwdriver, rotate the screw 1/4 turn clockwise to increase close force.
    • It is important to only turn the screw 1/4 turn between each test to insure the utmost safety of the device.
  3. Test the operator by pressing & releasing the button on the wall switch.
    • If door travels down properly, go to step 4.
    • If not, repeat step 2 & 3 up to 8 times (2 full turns)
    • If door still does not travel properly after 2 full turns, call for service.
  4. Perform the Safety Reversal Test -  IMPORTANT!
    1. Lay a 2X4 board flat on the floor where it will be struck by the center of the door as it closes.
    2. Verify the the door reverses when it strikes the board. The door must reverse within 2 seconds of striking the board. If the door does note reverse within 2 seconds of striking the board the close force must be decreased! 
      • If the close force must be decreased and results in the door not traveling down properly call for service.
